@mexedge: Sitting down with Debra from CRATE Interiors⁩ and we had to start with the big one… Most people land in Mexico, walk off the plane, see that little exchange kiosk at the airport… and hand over their cash without thinking twice. And honestly, it’s the single worst way to convert your money. Airport exchange kiosks are charging some of the highest fees in the entire industry. I’m talking upwards of 5%, and that’s before they tack on an extra service fee. Compare that to the actual spot rate and you’re getting hammered before you even leave the terminal. If you’re moving any meaningful amount of money to Mexico...or buying property...you need to know there are far better options out there. You just have to avoid the most obvious (and most expensive) one first.
