It’s EXHAUSTING. We came back from break for a day then had a snow day tues. today was a nightmare😐 I fear these kids were never told “if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all”

I told the class that if they kept talking while I was reading and discussing the novel, they would have to read it on their own. A girl literally rolled her eyes, laughed, and told me I was being dramatic.

This is the main reason teachers can’t teach. We have to constantly be correcting behaviors. Then children go home and say we are mean. We are not, we are just trying to do our job.

the best I put it is the classroom has become 80% behavior/discipline and 20% instruction. teach your kids how to act right so we can educate them 100%

I have 2nd graders and they’re so mean to each other! it’s flabbergasting 😭 they’re so young, it makes me sad that they’re being bullies at that age

Seriously it’s exhausting. My kids are so mean to one another and absolutely helpless. They can’t follow directions even after modeling, repeating and having them posted on the board.

I found my pencil sharpener broken (that I bought with my own money) and when I was upset and asked my class what happened they laughed at me. I can’t teach decent behavior
