A possessed very important NPC’s body was rising again as Vecna. But there was a pictured prophecy of him fighting another main BBEG. (Ngl i had no point of conflict at that period) that is until one of the PC’s said “It’s (the very important NPC) he is fighting back for that so and so reason”. I felt so stupid because of how correct he was to a point i wondered if i forgot my plot lol.

Absolutely! One of the best instances of this that I know of is in the Legends of Avantris campaign "Dimwits of the Dimwood" when a PC named Bitsy started telling another PC about the Charmin toilet paper bears, and the DM started furiously taking notes 😂
