It’s ok we took my mom who lost her first husband when she was 19 and has been remarried for 27 years to my dad lol she was like “ I was really thinking who would I choose” she wouldn’t tell us who😂😂

Audrey Plaza said the movie The Gorge helped her with grief and it’s a thriller/horror. I saw it. It was good. Not automatically triggering of trauma BUT gory. She said the dialogue hit her beautifully

“Real” heaven wouldn’t make you choose. Wouldn’t punish you if you got bored of the beach/mountains/whatever. How awful would it be watching this movie as a young widow and feeling you’re being told that you shouldn’t be open to love again. I enjoyed watching the movie (mainly because I loved the acting, everyone was great in it) but I don’t think it has a nice message at all.

personally I understand why the second partner would feel insecure/envious/jealous like imagine *you* are their first choice/their greatest love.yet to *you* they are essentially the second option due to uncontrollable circumstances/ in their minds if og partner came back to life there is a high likelihood the widowed partner would leave their current spouse for their first one im not saying they are a replacement since you can never replace a person however the feeling of being the "we're only together because he/she died" is awful

Grief is love with nowhere to place it. I can't say it's not retraumitizing, but having moments like these is allowing yourself somewhere to place some of that grief.

I have to imagine that in a world where the Eternity afterlife scenario was reality, that every young widow would end up choosing differently. While the character made her one choice, there would be ones that made the other, ones that ended up in their eternities with both or neither.
