I just wanna take a moment to really thank you for the amount of detailed explanation that you put into your videos!! I’ve always wanted to try oils and I definitely feel more confident giving it a try after watching your videos 🥺 I do have a question, for the darker shadows of the under painting, are you using a thicker paint ratio? (as in less gamsol?)

Was this acrylic or oil? Cause with acrylic, the paint would have dried fast after the underpainting right? So how were you able to be able to wipe away the paint? Was it oil?

I get that you can choose to gesso and sand but apparently all you need to do is spray the canvas with warm water, then let it dry. This does a number of things to set the canvas. Most canvases are already pre gessoed
