Are the wipers automatic? I never touch my Tucson’s lock/unlock or lights since they’re automatic. If the wipers are auto too then I don’t have a problem with it 🤷♂️

I’m not a big fan. We’ve seen issue with screens going black and unresponsive. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen because you’ll lose essential features. It’s also just distracting when driving. Everything should be accessible by steering wheel.

If they always stay on automatic like the lights and wipers I guess I really don’t care. But for the trunk and frunk I would prefer physical buttons.

Usually I’d say absolutely not. BUT we now have a Model 3 (boo) & an Equinox EV (yay) in the household and the lack of auto controls for the wipers on the Equinox is actually kinda annoying. You do end up relying on auto on/off!

I think the only ones I wouldn’t like having on the screen is the windshield wipers and the headlights the other ones really wouldn’t bother me. I think it’s harder to try and turn those on and use them while driving and having to go through a screen.

I give up hoping for mechanical controls in EVs. Electric vehicles just weren’t meant for me. Obviously they know and cater to the specific tech nerds this car was built around. Like Tesla’s onscreen gear shifters these EV companies are speaking an ergonomic language only their audience feels. Then they wonder why Lucid’s not selling more cars to mainstream drivers. To hell with the rest of us.

I think that it’s pretty strange to have the defrost controls and the wiper controls there…. I’d much prefer wiper controls to be an actual stalk, and the defrost buttons to be… you know… in the climate section of the infotainment. Having the lights and trunk buttons in that area seem fine to me though!

I can appreciate that at least there are individual buttons for each function, rather than a menu button, but, no. Knobs are the ultimate luxury.

I think the wiper situation can be distracting since there’s no feedback from a button or a scroll function. Light-wise, I don’t mind at all
