@iihs_autosafety: #throwbackthursday | Getting head-protecting side airbags into vehicles as standard equipment was one our main goals when we introduced the original 31-mph side crash test in 2003. The Honda Element was among 7 poor-rated models in our first batch of ratings, largely due to a lack of head protection during the crash.
