To people saying “just use a sample”: you can’t build a dynamic roll like in the video with a sample. No amount of midi modulation will get u there.

okay, no hate cause this is truly an incredible feat. Basically playing god with frequency here honestly. but thats a ton of effort and work, so I guess my question is why do this when the benifit is just a slightly more realistic/natural sounding cymbal compared to drum samplers and plggins? again this is a very impressive feat turning something so simple and bland into a work of art. but when im spending more time on the cymbals than the entire rest of the song combined, I think I would have regrets lol. but everyone's different! love the video dawg!
