@irfanbhaieuwalay: Replying to @adilprince990 Here’s how things likely work if you (as a Greek EU passport holder) move to Germany with your wife (from Pakistan, non-EU, but holding a permanent residence card from another European country): Since you are an EU citizen, you benefit from the EU’s right to free movement you can move to Germany and live there with just your valid passport (or national ID) and by registering your address. Because you move as an EU citizen, your wife (even though she’s not an EU citizen) is recognised as your “family member” under EU law. She is thus entitled to accompany or join you in Germany. If you move to Germany together, your wife needs to apply for a “residence card for family members of an EU citizen” (or equivalent) once you are registered. This card will prove her right to live in Germany; typically such cards are valid for five years.
