The puff almost everyday.Wash day/self care was Sunday no matter what. Sometimes I’d sit under the steamer while studying for the deep conditioning. Satin lined surgery cap or just used a bonnet for my bigs style(poodle puffs).

i love getting braids BUT it’s so hard because i hate having to scrub in or more so just putting a scrub cap on i need to invest in a braid scrub cap but theyre a little expensive 🧐🧐

Currently a second year at aucvm! During my undergrad i almost exclusively wore braids as I needed my hair out of the way. It was very annoying to redo, and took an w the day, but I gained a lot of length and it was protected. I think satin lined scrub caps would be so beneficial for the POC vet med community!!

Starting my clinical year at UF in January and minitwists have been my style of choice lately. I do a twist/braid out occasionally in between styles. But I will be trying a halfwig soon because it’s still protective and I miss having my curls out

At least you had black classmates 🥲 I literally have no one to talk to besides my mom. But I learned how to do knotless braids and two strand flat twist (this was a life saver for surgery!!). I just learned how to do my own hair essentially

I have 4c hair. Knotless braids are my go to. I don’t have the time or patience to style my natural hair. I’ve found the more I manipulate my hair, the more it breaks. It’s a relief to wake up and not worry about my hair 😭 I’m strongly considering locs.

SATIN LINED SCRUB CAPS! I have locs so it’s easier for me but I’ve considered wearing my hair in a scrub cap more often to protect it from the elements of our job. If I’m not wearing one then my hair is most likely in a high or low ponytail. I also use headbands when I’m due for a retwist and my new growth is getting wild 😅
