My 2 cents :
Please please consider getting a livestock dog. I have Anatolians and they really do keep your livestock safe. You need more than one. They love their livestock and will die for them. I’m so so sorry for your loss.

We have dogs here that have gone after my birds, my kids and myself. Animal control told me “they weren’t like that when I met them.” And closed the case. The sheriffs dept told me I could defend my livestock in any way I deem fit, so that’s what I’ll do. Sorry for your loss. I’ve been there. It socks

Why not get a dog to protect the sheep at night. There are some amazing dogs that love to work on farms. Sending hugs and love to your family with all these emotions and grief. God opens many doors.
