Yall who don’t understand why they won’t take homemade food, please look up what happened a few years ago (I think 2019-2021) in Livingston parish Louisiana with the teacher and her cop husband.

I work at a daycare and one day we had a parent bring homemade cupcakes for her one year old. We ALL ate them. Yeah she made them with breastmilk. Her breastmilk.

See I get not wanting the homemade treats in the class but the suggestion to put them in the teachers lounge would’ve made take them back home with me lol

Tbh, considering now that I know a few people I went to school with had roaches and bed bugs. I can’t even hate this.

I remember my mom making brownies for school bake sales growing up. As soon as I started having kids (17 years ago) they weren't allowing homemade treats of any kind. I get why but I also don't. 😅😭

When I was younger my mom made cupcakes for everyone and we all ate them but now that I work in childcare, everything is SO strict due to so many children having allergies and there being COVID protocols

Plot twist, I own a licensed and insured cake pop business. I am a “store” so I can bring mine in to my kiddos classes 😆💁🏼‍♀️

Made by the crunchy mom who thinks peanut allergies are made up and people just need to try a bit to like it

One thing teaching has taught me is you don’t eat anyone’s food without knowing their life. I’ve accepted and eaten lots of food. Accepted is polite, saving it for later or whatever.

Our district is so strict you can't even drop off takeout/pizza (delivery or teacher pickup only) because the boxes & bags aren't sealed. If parents drop it off it must be 100% sealed with nutrition/allergy info.

A woman I work with brought homemade soup in for everyone and later (loudly) said in conversation that her kitchen was being remodeled so she had to wash all her dishes in the bathtub

Our school district doesn’t even allow treats anymore. The kids are allowed to pick a birthday pencil and wear a special hat in my son’s class. It kinda really stinks too because I was so excited to be the mom who brings all the fun treats 🥺😩 I understand not wanting homemade treats or treats with nuts and such. However I don’t get why they can’t have store bought goodies anymore.
