And some walked away because the teaching was too difficult to accept

Gotta stay biblical Will 😕 Communion is biblical but worshiping the saints, praying the rosary, baptizing babies etc is not.

is Jesus a vine? is Jesus a door? is He a literal shepherd? or maybe He's speaking metaphorically.

All incredibly well said! my other main point on this topic is the act of the sacrifice. we dont call Jesus the Lamb of God because it's cute. the point of the Passover Lamb was to take on the people's sins and "kill" the sins through sacrifice. the lamb then was REQUIRED TO BE CONSUMED by the penitent. Jesus was the literal Lamb of God, He took on our sins, He was sacrificed and now He must be consumed. I'm still absolutely reeling after realizing this, it is so poetic and makes so much sense

Real presence is biblical but John 6 isn’t making the point you’re attempting to use it for. Jesus teaches eating/drinking are imagery used to mean believe in him (4:13-15, 6:28, 35-36, 7:37-38)

read in the full context, start in verse 25. It's clear that Christ is speaking figuratively, comparing himself to the manna received by the Jews in the desert. Earlier in the passage, Jesus answers the question "what must we do to do the works God requires?" by saying "the work of God is this: to believe in the one who has sent me" (verses 28 & 29). Saved by faith alone. Always read full context, it helps

in the last supper, did jesus make them take bites out of his skin and cut himself and make them drink his actual blood?

YES! So many ppl left Jesus after He says this! Why wouldnt He correct them if He didnt mean it literally? He most definitely would have. It is His literal body and blood!

It’s incredibly simple if you think about it. The proper way to receive the body and blood of Jesus Christ is to be free of mortal sin. It means you are in full communion with Him. Of course He will raise you when the time comes.

The mystery mirrors the Incarnation itself. Just as Mary asked how a child could be conceived in her (Luke 1:35), it is by the same overshadowing power of the Holy Spirit that Christ’s body becomes present on the altar.

Even touching Jesus's clothes would completely heal you if you believed in him yet everyday people take the Eucharist believing its his blood and flesh but many aren't healed.

I struggle though because Christ also said you must be born again, but was referring to a spiritual birth. So how can we know? I doubt myself.

I’m a real presence Protestant however I don’t believe in transubstantiation because that’s illogical and human flesh cannot be in 2 places at once otherwise it ceases to be human, Christs humanity cannot both be at the right hand of the father and also in the Eucharist otherwise it’s been mixed with the divine attributes on omnipresence, which sounds like eutychianism

Why are we so focused on this it’s coming to the point of idolatry. So because the thief on the cross did not have the body and blood he does not have eternal life? How can YOU say this is the only way to have eternal life?
