"Why aren't shows like this anymore?" The best way to put it is that, ultimately, this style of humor grew bland and general audiences just don't buy into it like they used to. Sure, 2 of the pioneers of the style, Family Guy and South Park, have stuck around, but they changed to do it, and both have seen better and worse times because of those changes, and everything that tries to replicate their "best" just doesn't last like it used to, if it can even get off the ground at all. Like the shows that pioneered this humor, its audience changed. They grew up, developed new interests and hobbies, and moved on from stuff this like the overall ratings and markets did.
