@barefoot.appalach: As I look back, I realize that my plans don’t hold the candle to his. 13 months ago, I had a physical encounter with Jesus. After I tried to fix it myself, after I prayed to others. The last thing I wanted to do was “give my power up” to someone outside of me. Until I literally cried out his name. My phone charger shot out of the socket and my radio cut on full blast… but there was no music playing, just static. For the first time in my life I was filled with the most intense, radiating, warm love and comfort. What had tried to attack me no longer had authority over my temple. I knew I was protected. I was safe. I don’t know why this happened to me when others suffer, but what I do know is that this testimony has the ability to touch someone else’s heart. For me it’s a personal relationship, not a religion. And for the record, the phrase I cried out while I was feeling the claws of the deepest evil was “Jesus Christ, fill me with your Holy Spirit” hallelujah!! I know the spiritual community might not resonate in hearing this given the associations with modern religion and ”churchianity”, but I felt called to share this as I had also considered these issues and ways of thinking.. until it didn’t happen in a church per-say.. it was the church we made in that moment. Thank you Bruno @SouthernAdventures and your family for telling me to call upon his Holy name the next time I prayed. It has changed my life forever 💕
