Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: Late at night on November 3, 2023, around 11:59 PM, Patrolman James LaRocca spotted a BMW flying at 78 mph in a 50 mph zone. He drove south on State Highway 179. The officer started to tail the car. He saw the driver swerve into the northbound lane to pass the car ahead. He pulled both over. First, he talked to the driver of the other car. That man said he was the ex-boyfriend of the woman in the BMW. Then LaRocca approached the BMW driver. She turned out to be Anastasiya. Anastasiya said she fled after a shouting match with her ex. She aimed to drive home to Pennsylvania. While they talked, LaRocca smelled booze on her breath. He called for backup. He suspected she was drunk. Officer Smith soon arrived. They asked Anastasiya to do sobriety tests. LaRocca ran the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test first. Next came the Walk and Turn. Anastasiya missed heel-to-toe touches. She forgot to count out loud. She took the wrong number of steps. Last was the One Leg Stand. She didn't lift her foot right. She swung her arms to stay steady. The speeding, booze smell, and bad tests led LaRocca to arrest her for DUI. They held her BMW for 12 hours under John's Law. He took her to the West Amwell Township Police Department. There, they read her the rights for drivers. She agreed to blow into the breath machine. Sergeant Gray from Delaware Township ran the Alcotest. It showed 0.05% blood alcohol. After processing, they let her go to a friend. She had signed the liability form. She got tickets for DUI, reckless driving, and speeding over by 25 to 29 mph. Court records show her DUI and speeding charges dropped on February 7, 2024. She pled guilty to reckless driving. That cost her a 30-day license ban and $240 in fines.
