Don’t get me started I’ve had a Peugeot ev 2008 since January and Its spent more time in the garage than on the road it’s already needed an new ecu module , and a charge port. Constantly breaking down, the cost of public charging is ridiculous it cost me £29 a day to use how is this legal

I’ve got a Toyota Corolla 2023 1.8 Petrol Hybrid from work from new. It gives approx 460 miles to a full tank of petrol and total average mpg is currently sitting at 58.7 mpg. You cannot drive at all it if it has no petrol as the car mixes electric power and petrol as it needs it but the remaining mileage by the petrol gauge is accurate. I’d avoid pure EVs like the plague.

I charge my I Pace at home and the charge gives me between 258 and 282 miles depending how cold the weather is and have no problems. You really should have thought it through as to what type of driving you were going to do. There are a lot of fast charging stations about that will fully charge your car in less than two hours ( if you're car can take it) but it will cost a lot of money. Hybrids will only do about 20/40 miles on the battery only but then you can use your engine or if you don't use the battery on it's own your car will be more economical.

People forget to add in th fact that it's costing you thousands to buy the car in the first place, whereas with a good old fashioned combustion engine you can pick one up for less than 5k and still be running for you in 10+ years🤔😂😂😂😂

I plug in at home 3 times a week. £80 a month vs £270 on diesel. Even with the 3p a mile tax, it’s still 10p a mile vs 22p a mile in my old diesel. If you don’t have a charger at home, don’t bother. If you can install one, do it. Buy a relatively new second hand EV too, they depreciate like crazy in just 12 months.

You'ĺl get the best if you charge at home preferably off peak at night. The mileage used are hard to understand, they take into account everything your using on that drive includind the way you drive. Some manufacturers do it better than others.
