I think you’re conflating two different points here. You are not inherently anti-black if you IR date. You can’t however be pro-black if you do IR date. How do you affirm black people, black power, black consciousness, black wealth, black history etc by picking a partner who exists outside of that? The other points you made are valid no no’s under the definition of pro-blackness but that doesn’t mean you get to invalidate non IR dating as a tenet of pro-blackness

As somebody who studies Black studies, I’m also qualified in it; I struggle…the amount of horrific things that have been done to us at the hands of non-Black people I struggle to understand how we can be pro Black & date outside. I could never give my body to them but then at the same time love is love & the heart knows what it wants regardless of race, gender etc. It’s just difficult, I don’t think this is as straight forwards as you’re making it tbh.

I hear both side tbh. I think there’s also a side to being pro black that I do think should be able trying to keep and obtain generational wealth within black families, which is harder to do if wealthy black people leave wealth to white partners. It’s like the cycle begins all over again. If we think about all the black figures whose legacy and estates are now in control of their white partners…. I can see why people scrutinise this

I was hovering over that block button!! I think people that they outside of their race definitely have a different approach to being pro black, but I wouldn't say it's impossible to be pro black while dating outside of your race. There are just more aspects to navigate.

What does it mean to be pro-black? I never heard this term(dutch) And the things people mention sound very wrong to me. Is it an American thing? because outside the us nobody calls themselfs just black. You are nigerian or ghanese . Or France or german. never just skin colour.

It’s also based on pro-natalism. EVERYTIME I hear people make that argument, it always boils down to “we need to create more black children”. Well what if I don’t want children? If I date a black man, I’m not having kids anyways. So does that mean I’m not pro black?
