Go to funky village hostel- book the sunset village tour. Best experience of my life. Picked up children from school and took them to play football and watch the sunset and then dropped them home. They come from poor families and have the best time. It was truly something I’ll never forget ✨

You should visit Theam’s gallery, watch Phare circus and support artists there with their art. You can also try pottery, learn khmer cooking/ cocktails classes or go visit lotus silk farm for a fun and educational purposes. Try dinner at Apsara theatre and enjoy apsara show during the meal. If you wanna hang out like a local: there are some spots that are on trend these days. Go to Preah khan temple with the matcha lake and two levels library there it’s so Instagrammable. At Angkor wat, you can also rent a photographer to take pic in the library too, that’s a pretty photo spot as well. Go visit Pre Rub temple in the evening for a beautiful sunset. Preah dak village for good foods is a must too. (There are so many good places I can’t fit it all in one comment but feels free to reach out if you want other recommendations too)

Here from a Cambodian, rent a motorbike and be spontaneous. That’s how you can have the most fun in Siemreap. Make sure you have good internet connection with you all the time then you can ride around, see the temples, and enjoy the nature. An adventurous thing you can try is to ride the motorbike up the hill called Kulen Mountain. I mean there are like waterfalls and sites to see up there but the whole purpose is to experience the riding itself. It’s a but far, probably up to an hour trip. With that mortorbike, go to Preah Dak village (search it like that on google map). They are known for their grilled chicken and palm cake (most delicious deserts on the planet, trust me I really mean it🤤). Trust me it will not disappoint.

Bike to the ghost gate if you are lucky enough a group of wild otter always hang out around there the ,gate is in a hidden road might be abit adventurous tour to get there , 2 there is also a very nice chilling water skiing place I alway go to call wake park they also have man made beach it quit hidden and so underate I highly recommend , 3 if you looking for a gym I recommend Angkor fitness a really huge 3 floor gym with amazing trainer

Don’t do bike to Angkor Wat. It’s beautiful but no. It would took more than half of your day. Took a moped instead. Go around “big circle”. Ask pink shirt apasara officer in hidden temple around and follow the road. Go eat lunch at Bakong (road to Banteay Srey). If you have time, go Banteay Srey, the most beautiful temple ever. You don’t have to stop at all the temples, pick and choose. Because the walking distance on the big temple is at least 20-30mn. All locals accept dollars so have your dollars with you. You don’t have to exchange it to riels, but you will get exchange in riels

If u want authentic Khmer food made by locals for local, I recommend u try a lunch along Preh Dak ព្រះដាក់ street, I recommend u trying their grill pork, or chicken if u don’t eat pork. So so good, and don’t forget to try the palm rice cake អាកោត្នោត!
