@dogs.rescue.usa2: May Lovey’s rescue story be a reminder that we are all love, even when we can’t always feel it. Last month, when I locked eyes with Lovey before leaving the beach, I’ll never forget the connection and sadness I felt — mixed with the deep desire to be loved and understood. He wanted help so badly, yet he was afraid to receive it. Unsure of who to trust, he kept his distance to stay safe, gently reassuring everyone that he meant no harm. Can you relate to that? For almost 20 days, I spent time gaining his trust, and I’ll never forget the car ride home after his capture. He was already a different dog, his hope restored. The heart on his head felt like a message to us all — a reflection of what we carried inside as we tried to catch him. We are all love. ❤️ I’m beyond grateful for your support in rescues like this, which are far from easy. This journey was a mirror for me, too. I’ve grown in many ways alongside Lovey, and every rescue continues to teach me something new. I was going through a lot during his rescue, and he reminded me of strength and patience. Thank you for giving me the same loving energy I pour into each rescue. I’m grateful to be a conduit for your support — it’s because of you that dogs like Lovey get a second chance. 😭🥹 If you followed Lovey’s journey, please drop ❤️ in the comments! Because of your support, we’ve been able to: ✅ Restore his confidence ✅ Deworm ✅ Microchip ✅ Vaccinate ✅ Neuter ✅ Treat for heartworms ✅ Provide an oasis for him to roam and play ✅ Honor his selective appetite 😂 Lovey is a picky eater — he won’t eat unless it’s human-grade food. His meals cost about $200/month, which we purchase from thefarmersdog. If you’d like to help cover his next box 📦, we would be so grateful. $200 feeds him for 30 days, and food is all we need for Lovey right now.
