Love you for doing this. Basic tourists book places around the station and then they complain. I mean every city close the main station is not nice. But Napoli has so much to offer.

we always stayed near the museum...area is dirty but safe and good restaurants. old town is just 4min away. but for me Nahles is just a place to go to if you want to visit Amalfi coast, Pompeji or Capri
