Actually, the product grabs the built up oil and dirt on the skin and becomes that gunk which helps you with the peeling. I prefer this chemical peeling more than the physical one bc I have sensitive oily skin but I also have dry patches and the physical peel just damages my skin and does nothing with my dry patches. Always use it before your cleansing bc it needs to grab on something and it can't do its magic on cleaned skin 🤷🏻‍♀️
