Had my amp break on the first day of tour once. I used a JC40 from our touring companions and fell in love. They take pedals really well and sound SO good. The pure clean and punchy sound makes it incredibly versatile. I pushed the hell out of that thing and it just worked.

Clean loud is the prerequisite of heavy, for sure. Truly heavy sounds are lower gain than you expect.

🤷‍♂️Until a few years ago, I'd only heard of the JC-120. I honestly thought the 40 was a new amp product. Even worked in instrument stores for decades and never heard of/saw one till recently, was always the JC-120.🤷‍♂️

I use mine as a pedal platform. I keep the amp clean and get my breakup from a J. Rockett Tim Pierce signature, and a J.Rocket Flex Drive. 🤓
