i moved from texas to california and relate SO much to the cultural cognitive dissonance about timelines (and i'm 28 with pcos). i've broken out of traditional timelines in a lot of ways starting in college, and honestly so far the decisions and life stages i've been most content with have been the ones where i purely prioritized what i want my life to feel like *right now* over anyone else's expectations, from either tx or ca cultures. noticing when you feel that confusion or stress in response to an expectation, and actually listening to yourself and just stepping away and refusing to carry that load, is sooooo freeing. you're doing great, you're exactly where you're supposed to be and everything will work out for good!! (sorry for the paragraph lol i'm oversharing too but hope it helps to know someone understands!)
