Am a driver and I don’t get why drivers would rather sit in the cab, especially on a slow unload rather than just help unload, get it done quick and get out of there! Nothing worse than sitting waiting to go, sit in the cab long enough driving between jobs

I’d hate this, at Aldi our drivers are absolute gems they unload the wagon for us and load all the empties, it’s part of their job and someone them have for ridiculous routes to drive too

This is mad. I'm a manager and the company I work for do not allow any staff member to go near the wagon whilst it is unloading. The driver unloads and we help once its off the tail lift. If we make him a cuppa though, he will drop it in the warehouse / freezer / chiller 🤷♀️

Nice to see the manger helping. We have a scissor lift and the drivers have to load it then I take it in. The drivers arnt fan of doing our store they’d rather do the super stores as it’s like going to the gym. We have to use manual pump trucks. I take it Morrisons train there back door staff to load to.

Used to work in Morrisons. Cages would often have dodgy or squared wheels. Stacks of trays often fell over when pushing off the wagon. pallets always wedged in and slightly tilted. Hated unloading wagons 🤣

I wish my store had a docking station into the warehouse 😭 the wagon pulls up outside and we have to have someone on the back of the wagon and either use a tail lift for dolly’s and cages or a forklift for pallets 🥲 even worse we have to load it into our lifts to take to the shop floor 😅😭

Here in Finland, the driver himself loads the load onto and unloads it from the vehicle.
