My favorite thing that has been tossed about since this administration took power is that they were talking about privatizing federal student loans, despite the fact that every student loan contract tied to a federal loan specifically states that no one can collect those loans on behalf of the government or department of education. I.e. they would be null and void it sold to a private financial institution. And this is administration has been so stupid that they’ve been pushing for that to happen not realizing that every person who has a student loan would suddenly be exempt from paying it if they did it.
