@nbcprecisionsprayingllc: Why do so many people jump to a conclusion and try to facts to support it. Instead look at the facts and draw your conclusion. We are not the enemy.#farmtok #farming #cleanwater #cancer
They do. If you look at the map of agriculture overlayed with cancer rates it’s almost the exact same map. It’s not a good look and we need to stop defending it. We gotta stop farming areas we shouldn’t and that includes me and everyone else farming next to water. That’s the problem we farm too close to water.

Round up stays on the outside of the plants the corn husks soybean pods. When you pick it turns into dust that everyone breathes and the molecules of chemicals get in your lungs. Iowa is higher in cancer because of the winds blowing that dust in from NE and SD and you are the filter with all your trees and shelter belt filtering it before it gets to Illinois.

Chemicals is the easy scapegoat for the average person. I'd lean more towards fertilizer/manure. Nitrates/nitrites. Radon. My big question is why our government is so reluctant to acknowledge it and fund to study what is going on.

Cell phones. Radio waves, computers, seditary lifestyles. Chemicals can’t be excluded but yes look at the whole system. Could be ground water not related to ferts and chems.

Like my mom said back in high school in the 60s. They had mass panic about Paul erliuch book on the population bomb. There wasn't going to be enough food to feed everyone. There people that aren't happy if there isn't a crisis.

My wife is a wholistic practitioner. I am our farms sprayer guy. The amount of other things that have changed over the years to be less healthy, food being the biggest thing. Do I detox and take extra precautions? Absolutely I do. But I’m the one getting splashed with gramoxone and other stuff. So yes I take precautions but you’re right Brandon! Chemicals and farmers are the scapegoat, easy to point fingers at us. Keep it up brother!

We are the easiest to blame, they know most will just keep their head down and keep working. What kills me is the cancer rate map showing rates are higher near the rivers trying to blame runoff. Well correct me if I’m wrong, rates are gonna be higher near rivers when that’s where the majority of the people live, Des Moines, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Sioux City, Dubuque, etc……. All near rivers ! Thanks for trying to defend us instead of just getting pissed and or defeated like me and saying nothing. I enjoy your content !

The problem is clinging to correlations or facts that support your own bias. You can scream at the top of your lungs like cattle people and climate change. But you have to acknowledge we as producers have a vested interest and why should non ag people take our word for it. Otherwise you’re preaching to the choir. Would you only praise data that supports your bias, but poo poo if if it doesent? Just raising questions. Good topic. Open dialogue is good.
