The point of the movie is that people don't like the dish, but for the reviewer the dish was amazing because it was something their mother made. Showing that our food is more then just something that tastes good or bad, but also something that can invoke emotions and memories depending on the person. A food reviewer might find a dish terrible, but for someome growing up eating it everyday associating it with their long passed mother, it might ne the greatest thing ever.
