Expecting 50/50 in our relationship actually isn’t the goal, and while that sounds nice it's usually not practical. What IS practical is each of us taking ownership of ourselves, our actions, our emotions, our living space, and holding responsibility for IT ALL, together. Versus the lovely new age tradition: man makes the money and the woman does literally everything else PLUS also making the money lol. 🙄 9 times out of 10, when women come to me with endocrine and inflammatory conditions their stress is through the roof, plate overflowing, and they don’t feel supported fairly by their partner. IT IS NO WONDER why endocrine conditions in women have increased by 60% from 2006-2023 alone. They feel like everything belongs on their plate until they have a breakdown, and at “that point” they feel like they can “ask for help.” 👉 So I’m here to tell you - your plate can be as full as you like it, and nothing more. Overflowing is not a badge of honor. 👉 You do not have to have a breakdown in order to receive. 👉 You are ALLOWED to not be burnt out. 👉 Not being burnt out doesn’t mean you are lazy, it means you have practiced healthy boundaries. 👉 And lastly, you also deserve a partner who understands and values this as well. #alyciasbarbell #boundaries #womenshealth #doyourownlaundry
