Ariens are known for that. I have a 32 deluxe and have to replace it every couple of years.

absolutely poor quality control from Ariens where they do not lubricate axles upon assembly. I.always split them apart every couple of years. Clean them up, lubricate them, put them back together.

That looks like a terrible job to do! I'm going to check mine in the summer so I can work on it at my leisure in a warm, dry garage without worrying that it's going to snow before I finish. Good job, sir!
