@theepathtojanah: Stay away from certain people, but know who they are. The scholars warned of two categories. The first is the one enslaved by his desires. His whims lead him, not guidance. If desire already misled him, it will mislead you too. The one who abandons salah, calls to sin, invites you away from obedience. Clear distance is protection. The second is the one whose heart clings to the dunya. Outwardly Muslim, yet inwardly attached. His dunya blinds him from the akhirah. He measures life by gain and loss here, and that blindness weakens what truly matters. Companionship shapes direction. Hearts follow hearts. Choose those who remind you of Allah, not those who pull you away from Him.
