The traffic is already ridiculous, it took me 3 hours to get to San Antonio from Austin because they close 35 at night and it’s horrible

Seems like a great opportunity for better train service which seems necessary if these growth trends continue. In an alternate transit friendly universe, Texas seems in a good position to have a lot of its most important cities by rail.

I commute on I-35 and let me tell you, it ain’t for the weak. A trip from San Antonio to new braunfels is usually about 29 minutes but noooo it’s takes about an hour now since all the contruction on 35.

I live in NB & it’s absolutely miserable. Transplants love it bc it’s not their home, but dealing with this rapid growth with unsustainable infrastructure is horrible. Plus our city officials are corrupt & greedy af. Typical small tx town officials

That’d be hard our city of San Antonio is filled with culture Austin doesn’t have…. Austin has its own roots and vibes as a Texan who’s from Houston but lived in sa it’s a different world

Dallas & Ft. Worth are 26 miles from each other. AUS & SA are 80 miles apart they will NOT be a mega city. Way to far apart 🙄
