When I travel, I love connecting with locals - but this time I was prepared for the cold shoulder. I was so wrong. This trip has reminded me once again just how kind and generous people can be. They don’t dislike foreigners, they dislike disrespect. When I showed respect for the place I was visiting I was treated very well during my visit.
