Did a secret Santa at my dance academy and of course when I showed up with my gift for the gift exchange no one had anything for me. I guess the girl who got my name wasn't there that day but that's how it always goes. When I did one in college with a group of friends I got the crappiest gift.

I was that friend all the time, it fucking sucked. Thats why I stopped buying stuff for aquantinces, I only get gifts for my family and my best friends, as in like 4+ years

I finally quit being that girl who spent lots of money on awesome gifts and wrapping. Most people actually had the nerve to give NOTHING in return. It was my fault but I really did give from the heart. 😥

This is why our schools stopped the gift exchanges. They told the kids if you want to exchange gift, find somewhere outside of school to do it. I’m glad they did. Some kids were left out entirely. Not all people have the extra money to do it and felt obligated anyways.

When we did this in school, it was like 3rd and 4th grade. There was a spending limit of $10, but somehow I always ended up with nothing or something that looked like it was found around someone’s house. I was always so heartbroken bc kids were getting Barbie dolls and giant nerf guns while I got a pack of gum and crayons. It’s forever scarred me when it comes to secret Santa🤣🥴
