I worked overnight and had a patient with a trach. Didn’t have a lot of experience. I called RT for guidance and the RT that came up was SO helpful. He step-by-step explained what kind of trach the patient had, drawing a diagram!! Then he showed me how to suction how the patient wanted it. I will never forget him. Thank you Dave.

When I was a baby nurse in the ICU I made friends with all the RTs. They literally see more codes than anyone else in the hospital! They’re amazing in an emergency.
