@irinayadgarova: Most people don’t realize how different the outcome can be depending on what you choose. A will might seem simpler, but it puts your family in the middle of a court process that’s slow, public, and expensive. A trust avoids all of that and gives your loved ones a direct path to inherit without delays or legal hurdles. If you want to save your family time, stress, and unnecessary costs, choosing the right tool now makes all the difference later. #EstatePlanning #TrustsVsWills #AvoidProbate #LegacyPlanning #FinancialPlanning #ProtectYourFamily #Trusts101 #SmartPlanning #WealthProtection

Nope. My mom just passed and did a transfer on death deed and added us as beneficiaries on all accounts. No probate

Trusts are a fantastic estate planning tool for those with significant assets, but I think it’s important to note that a trust is not necessary for the average Joe. Trusts are expensive.

The most important reason is a will can be contested and trust cannot be

Probate still happens if they didn’t have all of their assets in their trust. Dealing with this currently.

Trusts aren’t for everyone. A lot of attorneys encourage them because they are quick money makers for the atty.

A trust only works if its funded properly. If all of your assets have beneficiary designations, you avoid any court probate proceedings

Tell the truth about a trust. A trust needs a lawyer and maintenance. It’s not that simple.

Have you noticed that Trust is a vehicle for the rich as it's expensive and most normal Jack or Jill can't afford it.

Check your states regulations but my lawyer had us do a transfer upon death which bypasses all the court deals.

My mom died in 2023. Had an uncontested Will. The legal fees where nearly $8k just for probate and it took 18 months. After this my wife and I set up a trust for $4500. Im sure expenses vary by location but we were shocked at the probate process. I cant imagine if it was a contested will.

incorrect. my grandma died 3 months ago and she had a trust. leaving everything to my mother and some things to me. if she would have just had a will everything would have been done, death certificate presented, my mom would own the house and all assets. but since she had a trust we now have to play tag with the state of North Carolina to get things done properly. people at the courthouses and everything even told us if she wouldn't have had a trust they could have easily swapped everything into my mother's name the day we were there with the death certificate.
