@he_bobiwine: After numerous blockades and violence against us, the people of Gulu have contended with us that there are no gains this regime is protecting. Thank you Gulu. #ProtestVote2026 #ANewUgandaNow

This Man is loved. If it wasn’t the Forces blocking and scaring us, his campaign grounds would be the fullest with the highest massive numbers of people.

I feel that this idea of always remaining peaceful, even when our people are being attacked, is becoming incredibly difficult to accept. It’s painful to watch those who stand with you being beaten, threatened, and mistreated, while we’re constantly urged to stay calm in the face of violence. It feels unbalanced and unfair — as if we’re expected to endure everything while receiving nothing but blows in return.
What we are facing no longer feels like a normal political struggle. It feels like a fight for the dignity and safety of our people. And when we see our own suffering only increasing, it becomes harder to understand why we should remain passive. Our frustration comes from love — love for our people, and the fear that we may continue to bury more members of our community if things continue this way.
We need a strategy that truly protects us. We need to feel that our lives matter and that our pain is being acknowledged. Strength does not always mean violence, but it must mean standing up in a way that defends our people and makes it clear that their lives are not disposable.
