@sarahlawuk: The mirena coil is PROGESTIN not PROGESTERONE. Yes it will keep the uterine lining thin when on estrogen therapy but it does not offer the other benefits of bioidentical progesterone: Your metabolism Your brain Your bones You b👀bs Your sleep Your zen Progesterone helps them all! Progestin doesn’t do the same thing I created an entire guide that runs you through every option of HRT in the UK, whether it’s bio identical or synthetic, how to ensure it works for you and how to prep your body for it. It’s less than your 2 coffees a day spend and could be life changing Pop BLUEPRINT below if you want me to send the link to grab it #40plusclub #hrt #menopause
I’m progesterone sensitive. Mirena has been much better to handle than Utrogestan.

Progesterone on the lowest dose was too much for me, I’m sensitive to it, so my only choice for HRT was the Mirena. I think a balanced view is needed here as not all women can have the same programme even if they want bio identical hormones.

Blueprint. I’m on the Mirena coil an my GP took me off progesterone. But just like your post, my brain, joints, sleep and zen have gone on holiday, never to return. I need to do battle with the GP to get back on progesterone. I’d rather get the coil removed if that’s what it takes.
