I will wear my socks and then put those socks over top. So for the most part, you just feel your own socks and then you put those over top to keep your socks from catching you know all of the diseases from the floor.

I think they want multiple pair because they're FREE lol! I hate them for the same reason reasons you do, they don't stay up, they twist on your feet, and the inside is not comfortable.
