@sabrina_ramonov: Simple AI coding tip that will help prevent thousands of errors over time. Prompt your AI coding tool to ensure its plan is consistent with rest of codebase and introduces minimal changes. I know it sounds too simple to work, but this 1 line has saved my butt so many times I’ve lost count. Even though mines baked into Claude.md and hooks, I still type it manually and separately after planning step, right before coding, just as a sanity check. #programming #coding #code #prompt #sabrinaramonov
Omg. Yes. Because sometimes Claude will go changing the entire DB!

What I am still wondering about is, that AI agents can deliver excellent results, but also fail in the simpliest tasks. My guess would be that IT developers don't know, what office workers need. Example? You work in an international company and have to deliver some slides in English. Your first draft contains images in your language (e.g. Spanish or in my case German). So you put the images in the AI image generator your company uses and ask it to change the text into English without changing other content. So simple, but not for AI. And you even ask AI for a better prompt. In the end you get a 10 pages explanation by AI, why this is not a simple task. But you know better, AI Developers don't know, what office workers need, so that AI can't execute daily tasks. They are busy with solving scientific, academic questions...

I start off with Do not code, until I have identified and agreed exactly what it's going to do, before it goes off to create some chaos :)

Yes. “Make only the targeted, minimal changes required to accomplish the task.”

This would be best to add to your Claude.md and at the top of your prompt.md if you are starting a new plan. But I’ve seen that if you create a product requirement doc using Claude ai or ChatGPT, it does make incremental changes at every level

This is so smart…I vibe code 100% and I’ve started to use Claude code to review other projects asking it to search for “high priority security risks and important ‘gotchas’”. Shocking what it finds. I bet using your prompt will avoid so many future problems!

this is super clutch , only real devs would have known to do this one for real for real cause it’s how we think without AI for those that coded before AI IYKYK

Someone recommended for me to say don’t use any type on typescript and I swear this helped so much. I wish I knew more dev language. But what I lack in dev I make up for In electrical knowledge

nooooo.. just tell it to be pragmatic, but the thing is, if you don't know what is the issue, AI can't help you

Typing “make sure to test and confirm the changes are working” does help another round of debugging.
