Agreeeeed. Tithing is okay though and biblical and a lot of people don’t realize that so as soon as money is brought up they shut off from the church. <— I know you weren’t talking about tithing haha

So I do believe that when you give in regards to offering it should be what the Holy Spirit guides you to give. Sometimes it may be a little sometimes it may be a lot, but that is the Holy Spirit that shit guide you if you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you. I will admit it does irritate my flesh whenever I hear a pastor telling people a specific amount to give that I will never agree with. When you have Pastor saying yeah, “the Lord said to give out $20 or $50” I basically about face and it leaves a sour taste in my mouth because I don’t feel that you should be told what to give and unless it’s Holy Spirit lead

Yes! There is a HUGE difference in a church that encourages you to give biblically and a church that makes empty promises about the “blessings” you’ll get if you give them. Especially if they are asking for a specific amount. Also, there is a difference in a church saying we need x amount to replace the HVAC and a church that is constantly asking for you to give a certain amount with no real explanation as to what it’s for.
