With my daughter and granddaughter, YES but with my mom, absolutely not I have enough lifelong trauma, ptsd, depression and memories that will never leave me no matter how much therapy I get. My daughter and granddaughter slowly help me heal from my own mother.

I feel like this most of the time with my daughter. We are very alike in so many ways except she’s much better than me. As it should be. I have 4 sons who I’m also close with. The 3 oldest call me often just to talk about their day. One of them is especially empathetic and very sensitive. He’s the type that somehow knows what people are going through and how to talk them through it.
