The difference between those feeding into the statistics showing the decline of men’s health and fitness, and the ones transforming themselves into the outliers?  Standards.  Yes, the bar is set pretty low these days.  But regardless of what percentage of men are falling short, you should set your standards to the highest degree because that is the person you want to be. Actively choosing the character you want to demonstrate.  The standard you set for yourself determines who you become. It’s not something you get to turn on and off.  We decide our standard in how we show up for our family, friends, work associates, and ourselves every day with our actions. We always have a choice to give our best.  And with our health and fitness, we have more control over the outcome than arguably any other facet of life we want to maintain our standards in.  It’s funny.  Imagine for the rest of your life, you’d have:  	⁃	1 spouse and family 	⁃	1 house  	⁃	1 car  	⁃	1 job  	⁃	1 network  How intentional would you be with giving your best to them?  You’d do everything in your power to maintain them to the highest degree.  In reality though, the only thing you have to keep forever is your body, and it plays a major factor into how all of the other dominos fall.  So set the highest standard. Be intentional.  Choose excellence for yourself, your health, and your body every day. Watch that same character spread throughout the rest of your life.
