If you’re planning a trip to Tokyo, SAVE THIS HOTEL We stayed at Onsen Ryokan Yuen Shinjuku in Tokyo, and honestly, one of our favorite parts of the hotel was the rooftop onsen! 📍 Onsen Ryokan Yuen Shinjuku | Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan THE LOCATION: The hotel was in a great location in Shinjuku! We were able to walk to lots of places, and it was relatively close to public transportation, which made getting around Tokyo so much easier. Directly across from a 7/11 so we stopped by for coffee and snacks every morning and night. THE ROOMS: Our room was on a higher floor, so we had a pretty nice view of the city. The window was on the smaller side, but the room was very clean and comfortable. Overall, we had a great experience! THE ONSEN: This was definitely the highlight of the hotel. There was a rooftop onsen with separate men’s and women’s bathing areas, each with an indoor bath and an outdoor bath. Being able to soak in the outdoor bath while surrounded by views of the Tokyo skyline was such a unique experience after a long day of walking around the city. EXTRAS: After your bath, there was a gathering area where you could relax, enjoy FREE popsicles, and take in the city views. It was such a fun little touch and made the experience feel even more special. THE SERVICE: Everyone we encountered was very nice, and the hotel was consistently clean, which is always a huge plus when traveling. OVERALL: If you’re looking for a clean, well-located hotel in Shinjuku with a traditional Japanese onsen experience, I would definitely recommend checking this one out! Being able to explore Tokyo all day and then come back to relax in a rooftop hot spring bath was such a treat. Adding an onsen experience to our Japan itinerary was 100% worth it! #TokyoTravel #TokyoHotels #Shinjuku #JapanTravel #JapanItinerary
