as someone who pretty much grew up in the hospital, I'd say the 1st picture is the most nostalgic. sometimes went out, but mostly just stared out the window, and wondered what other kids are doing while I'm here, how they're playing, hanging out, having fun.. while I was here, looking out the window hoping to see birds and hoping someone would come in to visit me asides the doctor that'd give me a daily check up.. hoping to go outside.. and hoping that the food actually tastes good today

they're sort of nostalgic, eerie, and frightening but always somewhat comforting in a way
