Hate to tell you, Sri Lanka has 4 International Airports. Colombo, Jaffna, Batticaloa & Hambantota, and you can fly into any of them.

Hot tip! Avoid Nuwara Eliya and Ella and do Maskeliya, Sinharaja Rainforest, Hatton, Kitulgala, Horton Plains Cloud Forest, and Knuckles Conservation Forest! 1000x more beautiful and still hidden gems. There’s also some sick ruins in Yapahuwa and Polonnaruwa. The best beaches are Hiriketiya and Tangalle (if you’re visiting between December and March)

You can buy train tickets on the day at the station - I did this when I was there along with 7 other people. No need to book in advance😁 Great video 🥰 x

There are plenty of good hotels, stay at good hotels not cheap $ 20 hostels!!! And why ride in trains buses, hire a car !!’

We stayed in Negombo when we got there then went to Kandy, Sigiriya, over to Trincomalee (amazing!) then down to Arugam Bay, Ella, down to Mirissa/ Weligama and then finally Colombo! I fell in love with Sri Lanka ❤️❤️
