@snatched.anna: When somebody unfollows you on Instagram, people think it’s because you did something wrong. But in reality, human psychology works the opposite way. We rarely unfollow people we feel neutral about. If someone doesn’t interest us, we just scroll past. They stay in our feed forever and we don’t even notice. Unfollow requires effort. It’s an action. It means something in you created an emotional reaction inside them. And this is where the psychology comes in. People unfollow others not when they are “boring”, but when they are triggering. When your life, your body, your face, your success, your confidence, your lifestyle hits a sensitive spot they don’t want to confront. Maybe they compare themselves to you. Maybe they feel behind. Maybe your glow-up reminds them of what they haven’t done. Maybe you became “too good”, too confident, too happy, too upgraded… and they can’t stand seeing it. Unfollow in most cases is emotional protection. They unfollow you to protect themselves from envy, comparison, insecurity, or discomfort. Not because you failed. Because you grew. In fact, people only get triggered by those who shine brighter than they expect. So when someone unfollows you, especially someone you thought would never, it means you touched a nerve. You stirred something in them. You made them feel. And very often, that feeling is jealousy, insecurity, or admiration mixed with discomfort. Which means the unfollow is not a rejection. It’s proof of impact. You don’t trigger people by being mediocre. You trigger people by being unforgettable.

Since I started posting myself looking beautiful so many people from past unfollowed me, I can feel they are triggered as hell
