quran surah al baqarah 256: Arabic text:لَا إِكْرَاهَفِي الدِّينِ ۖ قَد تّبَيّنَالرّشْدُمِنَالْغَيِّ ۚ فَمَن يَكْفُرْبِالطّاغُوتِ وَيُؤْمِن بِاللّهِ فَقَدِ اسْتَمْسَكَبِالْعُرْوَةِ الْوُثْقَىٰ لَا انفِصَامَلَهَا ۗ وَاللّهُسَمِيعٌ عَلِيمٌ Transliteration: Lā ikrāha fī d-dīni qad tabayyana r-rušdu mina l-ġayyi faman yakfur biṭ-ṭāġūti wa yu'min billāhi faqad istamsaka bil-ʿurwati l-wuthqā lā infiṣāma lahā wallāhu samīʿun ʿalīm(un). English translation:There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut (false deities/falsehood) and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.
