It’s heartbreaking to say the least. Black people are being displaced and erase for neighborhoods we have called home for decades. This isn’t happening in not one, but all 4 predominantly Black neighborhoods on the West side. WHO’S RESPONSIBLE? Local/state elected representatives, cook county (the land bank specifically) AND the large nonprofit organizations who mask as our “saviors” but are just colonizers who come in the form of “investors.” Idk what they heard or who they feeling like but the West side is NOT for sale! White liberals are NOT doing us a favor by moving here, you are doing us a disservice. Please go back to the north side or suburbs and stop STEALING land and the limited housing we have!
