I could cry right now…I used to get these as a teenager I went to the Bronx every weekend with my grandmother 15 years ago. I couldn’t remember the name of these and I searched so many times. You have just given me a wonderful Christmas gift thank you!!!!🥰🙏🏻

If you like the lemon, then change your frosting. Instead of milk just do powdered sugar & lemon juice, that's how we do our grandmother's cookies.

I’m very delighted to see this recipe-my mom always made them but I’m always intimidated by the shaping-they just never look like hers-you make it seem so effortless, I might give them another try. You even call them anginette like we do. May I ask what region of Italy you’re from? We are from near Naples/Caserta - I’m so happy to see recipes from my heritage & childhood ❤️
